Porto & Aveiro tour

Wow i've been away for too long! I am past due for a new blog post! Forgive b/c I am still in vacation mode :-) Ever since we got back from Portugal it's been super busy w/ family events & our family from Florida visited us all last week so we hosted them full of activities! Whenever i host family i try not to consume myself w/ being on technology too much! Spending quality time is very precious to me since i don't get to see them as much! So i'm finally back to my routine & going to start blogging again consistently!

Well this Blog entry is going to be Part 2 of our portugal trip! We did so much in 9 days that it's hard to crunch everything in on one blog! I'm hoping to get it all blogged in a couple more blog post and be done w/ my travel adventures of our 10 year anniversary trip! Then onto some beauty blogs!!! :-)

We explored the city of Porto in one full day along w/ doing the Aveiro tour w/ our lovely tour guide, Claudia via "Living tours" of Portugal. We walked the city of Costa Nova a town full of colorful striped Palheiros which are traditional homes built in the coastal region of Portugal to house the fisherman. Then we visited the city of Aveiro which is considered the little "Venice of Portugal" :-) We did a boat tour on the Moliceiros & learned that this City is known for it's salt production. After the tours we did our own walking tour of the historic district of Porto visiting castles, cathedrals, train station, the famous Library JK Rowling got her inspiration for Harry Potter, climbed the Clerigos tower, enjoyed the popular sandwich "Francesinha" ...we did so much walking that we had to eat some authentic hearty portuguese food & end the night w/ desserts!!!

  1. Such a beautiful place! It seems you had a great time in Aveiro. Often regarded as Venice of Portugal, it holds the true beauty of Portugal. I am excited to travel to Portugal and explore the hidden gems. Luckily, I had my visa ready!
